Minecraft Server Chat Rules

Welcome to our Minecraft server! Our community thrives on respect, collaboration, and fun. To ensure that every player has a safe and enjoyable experience in our server chat, we’ve established a set of rules that must be followed at all times. Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with these guidelines to help us maintain a positive environment for everyone.

  1. Respectful Language

    • Be respectful and show consideration towards other players.
    • Avoid using offensive, discriminatory, or derogatory language. This includes slurs, hate speech, and any form of discrimination based on race, gender, sexuality, or other characteristics.
    • Treat all players, regardless of their background, with respect and empathy.
  2. No Spamming

    • Refrain from sending repetitive or excessive messages in the chat.
    • Do not flood the chat with meaningless characters, symbols, or repeated phrases.
    • Avoid overuse of capital letters, excessive punctuation, or repeated emojis.
  3. No Harassment or Bullying

    • Harassment and bullying will not be tolerated.
    • Do not engage in personal attacks, insults, or any behavior intended to hurt or discomfort others.
    • If you disagree with another player or are uncomfortable with their messages, please notify a staff member.
    • No doxing of any kind.
  4. No NSFW Content

    • Keep the chat appropriate for all ages.
    • Do not share or discuss explicit, sexual, or mature content.
    • Avoid sharing links or references to content that could be considered inappropriate or offensive.
  5. No Hacking or Cheating Discussion

    • Do not discuss or promote hacking, cheating, or any form of unfair play in the chat.
    • Refrain from sharing links or instructions related to cheating software or exploits.
    • If you suspect someone is cheating, report it to the server staff in game using /report <playername> reason, you can use /realname <nickname> to find the name behind a player’s nickname or a random name if you don’t know the player’s name as we refer to logs when checking. If you would prefer the quickest possible response and no staff are online, you can @staff or open a ticket by typing -ticket new <description> in our Discord Server.
  6. Stay On-Topic

    • Avoid discussing unrelated topics, divisive subjects, or engaging in heated debates that may offend other players in Global chat.
  7. English Only

    • Use English in the global chat to ensure effective communication among all players.
    • If you’d like to speak in another language, use private messages and ensure both parties are comfortable with it.
  8. Respect Staff and Players

    • Follow the instructions and guidance of the server staff but most of all use common sense.
    • Treat staff members and players with respect and consideration.
    • Do not impersonate staff members or interfere with their duties or events.
    • Do not impersonate server members or negatively interfere with their gameplay.
    • Refrain from moaning staff don’t do enough to sort out situations when you can’t be bothered to report them or make staff aware in the first place,
    • All staff are Human volunteers and not AI, therefore can not read your minds or scan chat 24 hours a day seven days a week.
  9. No Advertising

    • Obtain permission from server administrators before sharing any other server IP addresses or links.
  10. Griefing is Prohibited

    • Griefing, which involves intentionally damaging or destroying another player’s creations or the server environment, is strictly prohibited.
    • Griefing will result in a warning or ban from the server, this comes down to the player’s punishment history and the severity of the Grief.
  11. Appropriate Usernames and Skins

    • All players must have usernames that are not offensive or inappropriate.
    • Minecraft skins must be suitable for our community and should not be offensive.
  12. Use Common Sense

    • While not every possible situation is outlined in these rules, use common sense to gauge what is respectful and appropriate behavior.
    • Any behavior that disrupts the server’s positive atmosphere may result in consequences.

If you believe someone may be in breach of these Rules, please report it to the server staff in game using /helpop to talk directly to online staff. Additionally, you can report a player with /report <playername> reason, you can use /realname <nickname> to find the name behind a player’s nickname or a random name if you don’t know the player’s name as we refer to logs when checking. If you require the quickest possible response with direct real time chat, you can @staff or open a ticket by typing -ticket new <description> in our Discord Server.

Consequences for Violations:
Breaking these rules can lead to a range of consequences, depending on the severity of the offense. Potential outcomes include verbal warnings, mutes (temporarily disabling chat privileges including the ability to use plugins that require you to use chat, for example “chest shops”), temporary bans from the server, or permanent bans.

Remember, these rules are in place to ensure everyone can enjoy their time on our server. By playing here and participating in the chat, you agree to abide by these guidelines. Keep up the spirit of camaraderie and cooperation, and thank you for contributing to our wonderful community!
